The No Hate Nordic Network, in cooperation with the Council of Europe’s Youth Department, is looking for four motivated young people to join the Preparatory Team for our upcoming study session “Nordic Change Makers: Crafting a Hate-Free Future.”

Study Session “Nordic Change Makers: Crafting a Hate-Free Future”
📍 European Youth Centre Strasbourg | 🗓️ 9–13 March 2026

The study session will gather 35 young people from across the Nordic region to learn, share, and create practical tools for countering hate speech and strengthening youth participation and inclusion in democracy.

💡 What is the Preparatory Team?

The preparatory team works closely with an educational advisor from the Council of Europe to design, prepare, and facilitate the study session programme. Together, you’ll shape the learning flow, plan workshops, and ensure an inclusive and inspiring experience for all participants.

The team will meet in Strasbourg in early January 2026 for a two-day preparatory meeting at the European Youth Centre 26-27 January (travel dates 25 and 28 January), with travel, accommodation and meals covered by the Council of Europe.

Additional online coordination meetings will take place before and after the physical meeting.


🧩 Your main tasks

  • Work with the team and educational advisor to finalise aims, objectives, and programme design
  • Contribute to the selection of participants and preparation materials
  • Facilitate workshops and activities during the study session
  • Support evaluation and follow-up after the event
  • Contribute to the creation of the Info Pack – a youth-written educational resource to counter hate speech in the Nordics

👤 Who can apply

We are looking for young people who:

  • Are 16–30 years old, living in a Nordic country or territory (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greenland, Åland or the Faroe Islands)
  • Have experience or motivation in youth work, human rights education, or countering hate speech
  • Communicate confidently in English
  • Are available for:
    • Preparatory meeting: 26-27 January 2026, Strasbourg (2 working days + travel day before 25 and after 28 January)
    • Study session: 9–13 March 2026, Strasbourg
    • Online preparation and follow-up
  • Are committed to creating inclusive and accessible learning spaces

Previous facilitation experience is welcome but not required — motivation and willingness to learn are just as important.

“NORDIC CHANGE MAKERS: Crafting a Hate-Free Future” will bring together young people from across the Nordics to explore and counter hate speech through Human Rights Education, intercultural learning, and creative methods.
